Directors

Les Payne, President

Retired from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency with 331/2 years experience as an Inspector, Supervisor, Instructor, and Livestock Transportation Specialist. Les has12 years experience as a HACCP Level 3 Auditor-Trainer-Supervisor from implementation to certification.  Les has also worked in retail and wholesale food sectors.

Cindy Slenders B. Ed., Vice-President

University of Lethbridge graduate with a major in Biology. She has been an active farming partner with her husband since 1983. She has worked with Canadian Food Inspection Agency as an inspector with HACCP Level 2 certification. She was  a C.E.O. for a local company that contracted with all levels of government. Currently, Cindy is a virtual teacher and program developer. Cindy also has been trained for Canadian On Farms Food Safety (COFFS) program after HACCP Level 2 Certification.

Laraine Payne, Secretary-Treasurer

Laraine has 30 years experience in office and administration.  She currently runs a private business. Laraine worked with the Fish and Wildlife Department and has a farming background.

Wayne Slenders, Controller

Wayne graduated from Olds College and has more than 25 years experience operating a mixed commodity irrigation farm consisting of cereals, oil seeds, canola and forage seed production, cow-calf, feedlot, leaf cutter bees, custom pollinating and combining. Wayne was the Chairman for SR&B Gas Co-op, and Chair and Delegate for Agricore United Cassils - Brooks Member Advisory Group.
